About Tracy
Tracy Fisher has been practicing Yoga since the early 1990's with several teachers from a
range of disciplines. She has been teaching since 2009 and has recently qualified with Gillian
Gee from the BWY* the "British wheel of Yoga" ( Spring/Summer 2012)
Tracy loves to practice and study classical Hatha Yoga and currently teaches groups and individuals on the
Western side of Leicester. She believes that yoga can benefit all groups in society regardless of gender,
age, ability/disability, religious affiliation or those without a faith. For her personally, Yoga has been the significant
constant force which has gently illuminated her inner and outer life, developing mindfulness balance and calm in addition to a physically
strong body.
Having suffered a painful back injury a few years ago with reoccurring flare-ups, Tracy knows that keeping up
her practice (modified at times) is the surest way of and maintaining a strong healthy body and mind!
Tracy has experience of teaching small groups of youth offenders during several years of working for the Ministry of Justice
Service in Leicester. Some of the young people surprisingly enjoyed the sessions and told their
supervising offices that very much looked forward to the yoga and wish they could practice more often! Unfortunately the local
authority no longer fund the yoga for young offenders.
